Gyanu

Terms of Use

Terms of Use

DRAFT, pending counsel review. This text has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not yet in force. Version: draft 0.1, 21 October 2026.

These terms govern use of the Gyanu apps, website and live classes. By creating an account you accept them. If the student is under 18, a parent or lawful guardian must accept them and gives the consent described in the Privacy Policy.

1. The service

Gyanu offers live classes, recorded classes, practice, chapter tests, progress tracking, doubt solving and tutoring for school students in Classes 6 to 12. Features, subjects and boards available at any time are shown in the app. We may change or withdraw a feature with reasonable notice.

2. Accounts

  • Sign-in is by mobile number and one-time code. Keep your device and codes private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Information you give must be true. A student account is for one student and may not be shared.
  • A parent can link to a child's account with a code sent to the parent's mobile number and then sees that child's progress and reports.

3. Live classes and recordings

  • A class has a limited number of seats; students are placed in groups for chat and activities.
  • The Gyanu server records every live class so that enrolled students can replay it. Students may not record, screenshot, copy or share a class by any means, and the app may block capture.
  • Recordings are for the enrolled student's own study and are deleted after the retention period in the Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

Do not harass or bully anyone, post unlawful, obscene or hateful content, share personal details of others, cheat in tests, attempt to break or probe the service, scrape content or resell it. We may mute a student, remove content, suspend or end an account for breach. Teachers and moderators may act during a class.

5. Content and licence

Lessons, decks, questions, recordings and the apps belong to us or our teachers and licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for study. What a student submits (a doubt, a chat message) stays theirs, and they give us permission to host and show it to the teachers and tutors who need it to help.

6. Plans, payments and refunds

Prices, plans and offers are shown in the app before you pay, with tax included as shown at checkout. Payments are handled by a payment gateway; we receive only the result and a reference. Subscriptions may be set to renew, paused or cancelled in the app. Refund and cancellation rules: to be settled with counsel before launch and written here.

7. Learning outcomes

Scores, mastery bands and reports are study aids. We do not promise marks, ranks or admission results.

8. Availability

We work to keep Gyanu running, but live classes depend on network and devices and may be interrupted or rescheduled. A missed class can be replayed once the recording is ready.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law or any consumer right you have.

10. Ending

You may stop using Gyanu and ask for deletion at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end access for breach or if required by law.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at a place to be inserted before launch have jurisdiction, subject to any consumer forum you may use by right.

12. Contact

hello@gyanu.taxifo.com (placeholder mailbox, to be replaced). Company name and address: to be inserted before launch.
